Monday 2nd June 2025

1. Welcome
The Meeting began with a welcome from Richard Myers (RM), co-chair BHSA, who gave apologies on behalf of Jarlath Pratt (JP), co-chair BHSA
RM went on to thank both the committee and all the parent volunteers who had helped make the events the success they were for the last 8 months and requested that parents step forward to support the remaining events.
2. Approval of minutes from the last meeting
RM noted that the minutes from the last meeting had been made available to everyone on the BHSA website.
The minutes of the previous meeting were duly approved.
3. Review of activities last term
RM ran through a review of the events that had taken part so far this academic year:

The Mother's Day gifting (with special thanks to Asha Ngai for organising, with over 150 orders placed)
The School Fete (with special thanks to Liz, Jade, and Nicola for organising with the support of over 60 volunteers) - the event was once again a huge success, and possibly warrants a larger space to fit more people and stalls.
4. Discussion of upcoming activities
RM highlighted the events that were still to take place this academic year:
Monday 2 June – Father’s Day Gifting (Which has closed with over 150 orders again, including brand new personalisation!)
Saturday 14 June – The Summer festival and Camp night - Plots sold out in record time, with only a few remaining days and late tickets remaining.
Saturday 5 July – The Studio 54 Summer Party - Tickets have just gone on sale, with the event set to end the year in style. A chance for parents and staff to celebrate a wonderful academic year.
5. Financial update
Jitka Edrova ran through a review of the BHSA’s finances (presentation attached to these minutes).
6. Update re bids for use of BHSA funds
Natalie Argile (NA) asked if the invoices had been received for the 2025 bids and whether the BHSA would consider further bids.
RM noted that the invoices are yet to come in but the BHSA is ready to pay them.
RM welcomed further bids from the school to help spend the money that had been raised
A pitch for a replacement climbing wall was made. Laura Comerford is currently sourcing quotes for the job.
NA will reach out to staff to make further bids to be submitted by Friday 13 June.
Bids will go online for parent voting which will conclude on Monday 30 June with RM emphasizing the importance of parent involvement.
